The Smiths
TV-compilation 1984-1987
Hardly any concert footage: interviews, reports and a documentary
1. 7 Jun 1984: the full Earsay interview with Morrissey (BBC 2)(44:16')
Morrissey interview, edited down to 10 minutes. The whole unbroadcast 45 minutes interview has since been in circulation on bootleg videos/dvds. Topics: family, celibacy, fans, school, childhood, fame, loneliness, the third sex, religion and the plans for the Smiths' future.
2. April 1984: The Smiths on Charlie's Bus (03:40)
A bus ride with Morrissey, Marr, Sandie Shaw and kids ending at Kew Gardens where Sandie performs "Jeane" with Johnny on acoustic guitar. When asked where they were going, Morrissey answered "We're going mad!".
3. 21 Feb 1985: a feature on The Smiths by Tony Wilson for Granada Reports (Granada TV)(05:14)
The Smiths are interviewed by Tony Wilson during rehearsals for the upcoming Meat Is Murder Tour.
4. early 1985?: "Back To The Old House": interview with Morrissey on the vanished landscape of his youth in Manchester (05:17)
5. 7 April 1984: Morrissey & Marr on Datarun (ITV)(04:26)
Datarun was a children's programme. Morrissey and Marr were asked questions by the children, then they did a short acoustic version of This Charming Man with the kids chanting in. Includes soundcheck footage of "Still Ill" and "Hand In Glove" from a March concert at Manchester's Free Trade Hall.
6. 18 Oct 1987: The South Bank Show (ITV)(50:00)
Documentary including live footage. The timing for this documentary couldn't have been better. It was prepared earlier in the year, but presented shortly after the split of the band. Contains interviews of Morrissey, Marr, Joyce and Rourke, as well as Linder, Shaun Duggan, Jo O'Keefe, John Peel, Nick Kent, Sandie Shaw and Viv Nicholson.

Originally referenced in this thread. I had never got around to re-seeding it here.
My upload speed is a little limited at the moment but have patience and it will come.

Dunno. I never tried burning it. I'd suggest only downloading the parts you don't already have.

David,
Check your files you may have added something to the torrent. I have this as well and the size should be 4.27gb. I'll jump on and help seed if it works.

Sorry folks. Bclark93 is right. I had an extra file.
I've fixed the torrent, so if you already started this one you'll have to download it again. The files you already downloaded will still be valid.

I don't see any sleeves around for his one, so here's my own efforts:

http://www.houseofinfinitezen.com/SmithsSleeves/Smiths_TVCompilation_1disc.jpg
The first file is a disc image for those of us that like to have the disc match the sleeve, the second is the sleeve itself. Both at 600dpi JPG, about 7.5Mb for the pair. Help yourself. :)
Rear notes are taken from the txt file that accompanied the download. Note that on screen if it's not at full size the txt might look a bit grim; blow it up to 100% & you'll see it's crystal clear, and a test print I've just done on my Epson R220 (sixty quid!) of the sleeve looks fine.
James Dean images front & rear.
Cheers
S.
EDIT: links fixed

Hello. are there any seeders who could help me finish this download. I am at 64% and not getting very far.
I am seeding Versailles, Handsome Devils, Wolverhamptom etc., for those that need them.
I am a bit late on some of these torrents having only had broadband a short while.
Any help would be great.
Thanks.
