I've burned it as a data file on mac. It's the only way I could burn it to DVD on my mac. Good news is it plays on one of my 2 DVD players. Bad news, I can't play the DVD back on my computer (probably because it is just a data file). At some point I will have to remove the file from my computer because of space, so I can then download part 2. Does anyone out there know another option for burning onto a DVD without another software program? I'm all googled out. But I haven't given up yet.
Great quality!!

You should be able to open a VIDEO_TS folder from your hard drive or on a data disc with the Mac's DVD player. Either open it through the file menu in the player or drag the VIDEO_TS folder over the DVD player icon in the dock. Then hit the play button.
I also recommend getting TOAST for the mac as it really simplifies and extends the burning of multiple disc formats.

Thanks ownZero, Toast is what I used to burn it. It wouldn't let me open the .ts folder in DVD-video format, just DVD-ROM UDF format.
Yeah, I can open it through my video_ts folder through the computer's dvd player, but that means leaving this big file on my hard drive. (Hm, does that mean by removing the file that I wouldn't be able to seed this down the road for anyone?)

Would anyone be interested in the original DVDs of this set? IE: with the original menues and not re-encoded on a standalone? The quality difference isn't huge, but its a still a difference.

OK, heres the thing. I can't torrent until april 12th and I'd only be able to seed for like 3 days. Anyone out there want to get a copy via snail mail and distribute it? Preferably in the US (I'm in central Illinois).

is this pal?
Yes, this is PAL. With so many PAL videos circulating, I am going to be investing in a dual NTSC/PAL unit.
