After teasing a new release, the Smiths have announced the release of new vinyl singles of “The Queen Is Dead,” the opening track of the 1986 album by the same name. Both 7" and 12" versions are coming tomorrow. The 12" features the 1992 edit of the track (found on the “How Soon Is Now” CD single), as well as B-sides “Oscillate Wildly,” “Money Changes Everything,” and “The Draize Train.” The 7" features “I Keep Mine Hidden,” originally found on the 1987 cassette release of “Girlfriend In a Coma” and allegedly the last recorded Smiths song. Earlier this year, the Smiths released a new single for Record Store Day with previously unreleased music and an anti-Trump etching.
“The Queen Is Dead” 12":
01 The Queen is Dead
02 Oscillate Wildly
03 Money Changes Everything
04 The Draize Train
The Queen Is Dead 7":
01 The Queen is Dead
02 I Keep Mine Hidden

Money Changes Everything on the 12" has a duration of 4:10 instead of the usual 4:41 version that can be found on The World Won't Listen so this add a new official track to the The Smiths official releases which now brings the count to 150.

Here's my up to date The Smiths Official Releases list including the new The Boy with the Thorn in His Side and the new Rubber Ring versions from the Record Store Day 7".

Interesting that, I bought the 7" picture disc. Never a big fan of Money Changes Everything but would like to hear a different version just to see what was different.
Is Oscillate Wildly usually credited to Morrissey as well as Marr then?
I thought the instrumentals were just credited to Marr but don't spend much time looking at the credits nowadays really!

I received my 12" but I don't have the proper equipment to digitize it.

Can you tell whether it's an edit or a different take though?

I was thinking about keeping it sealed as it's probably just an edit. I'll wait a little longer to see if I can find it somewhere. I'll keep you posted.

Ok thanks.
I got the picture disc and will probably never play it
That Boy With Thorn demo 7" was played once to rip it to FLAC and is now retired!

Did anyone manage to check whether this was the usual length? I found a supposed rip of the 12" somewhere, but it still seemed to have the 4.41 usual version. Can anyone confirm?
