I'm hoping they play the entire 1st session complete with Peel's overtures.
But, I'm a dreamer :o

I have some cassettes with recordings of John Peel's programmes with the session tracks as introduced by him, tucked away somewhere......

The only one i haven't got is the debut 1st session, Complete radio show. (First broadcast June 1 1983)
Ive been chasing it for years, People have rummaged through their lofts for me, (at night).

Sadly, I don't have the whole recording of that one, although I remember Peel saying "the distant call of the herring gull" as 'What Difference....' faded out! Have you got the whole recording of the show from Spring Bank Holiday Monday, 28th May 1984, when both Peel Sessions from the previous year were repeated, along with a session from The Cocteau Twins?

That entire show is on the John Peel wiki & is available for free download :D

I'm just interested in the actual debut airing, Not just for the actual session but the intervening Peel-isms & unique Show intro.

I'd just like a half-decent version of Peel Wonderful Woman.
