Love Spit Love's "How Soon Is Now" is excellent IMHO, never heard the Quicksand version, Tatu's is terrible.
Kirsty Maccoll's "You Just Haven't Heard It Yet, Baby" is great. RIP.
Carter USM's "Panic" is very good.
Sandie Shaw's versions of "Jeane" and "I Don't Owe You Anything" are fantastic, less keen on "Hand In Glove" though.
Anthrax's version of "London" is excellent, it needed a hard rock version and they did it perfectly.

I have more than 600 Smiths/Moz cover versions in my collection, but most of them are crap or at least unlistenable in my opinion, it's just a hardcore collector's thing ...
I did compile two samplers with less known versions I quite liked a while ago, if there's still interest I may upload them again in mp3 format somewhere:
Tracklists:
Vol.1
1) Mom's Favorite Vase: London 1:24
2) Loquat: There Is A Light That Never Goes Out 4:22
3) The Foxgloves: I know very well how I got my name 2:57
4) Acacia: The more you ignore me, the closer I get 4:13
5) The Beautiful South: Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now 4:01
6) Blue Flame Combo: Ask 2:29
7) Kirsty Mac Coll: You Just Haven't Earned It Yet Baby 2:49
8 ) Christian Kjellvander & Lise Westsynthius: Hand In glove 4:04
9) Jejune: The Boy With The Thorn In His Side 3:14
10) Radon: Interesting Drug 3:25
11) Popchor feat. Reverend Ch. D.: How Soon is Now 3:56
12) Vampire Slayers: What Difference Does It Make 3:10
13) Skastafarians: Alsatian Cousin 2:33
14) Mikrofisch: Everyday is like sunday 4:53
15) Bostonians: This Charming Man 2:46
16) Lament: Back To The Old Hous 3:30
17) Recliners: Girlfriend In A Coma 4:41
18 ) Ohm Guru: Please,Please,Please ... 3:34
19) Reader Gregson Hewerdine: Last Night I Dreamt ... 4:09
20) Gameface: Sing Your Life 2:54
21) The Yukon And You: I Won't Share You & Cast A Shadow (Beat Happening) 3:16
Vol.2
1) Ether Aura: Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me 03:53
2) Lascivious Biddies: Ask 02:59
3) Miranda Warning: Cemetry Gates 02:33
4) Christy Moore: America, I Love You 03:57
5) Kate Rogers: Bigmouth Strikes Again 03:47
6) Nguyens: Handsome Devil 02:38
7) The Burning Paris: Asleep 04:24
8 ) Colin Meloy: Jack the Ripper 03:45
9) Friendship7: There Is A Light That Never Goes Out 03:57
10) The Young Tradition: Sheila Take A Bow 02:29
11) Tiger Army: The Loop 03:44
12) The Sweet & Tender Hooligans: Suedehead (acoustic in studio) 03:56
13) Cinerama: London 03:59
14) The Stars: This Charming Man 02:43
15) Todd Gresley: Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want 02:08
16) 10000 Maniacs: Everyday Is Like Sunday 03:12
17) Bobby Bare Jr.: What Difference Does It Make 03:44
18 ) Mirabilia: How Soon Is Now 04:37
19) J. Church: Girlfriend In a Coma 01:38
I already tried to compile a third volume but I couldn't find another 20 cover songs I liked enough to put them into it ...
Concerning Smiths tribute albums I quite like the one on Matinée Records (Romantic and square ...) mainly because it's one of my favourite guitar pop labels of all times.
Cheers

It's probably because of your ISP, sites like Megaupload, Sendspace and Rapidshare won't let me download from them so I have to use a proxy server, which hides my I.P meaning they won't automatically say I've downloaded too much.
I like Dead Kennedys cover of What Difference..
