I was upgrading my Dropbox account today and got a deal on eBay. While I was browsing I noticed this auction:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121145104861
1TB of storage for $50 forever. It uses a referral trick, which I suppose could be revoked, but currently my drive stands at 1.1TB. I'll use it to back up my Smiths archive. Thought some others might want to do the same. Presumably it would be pretty easy for us to share recordings if we used the same cloud space.
Just an idea.

Related to cloud storage but not storage of FLAC files...
Yahoo's photo site, Flickr offers 1TB of storage for photos/videos, all for free.
www.flickr.com/‎
It won't store FLAC files (I tried) - it says it is not a valid file and needs to be removed. Though I haven't tried video files...
Just in case you need photo/video storage.

Could you not add the extension .jpg to the end of the FLAC to see if it will go up.
i.e. from 1. Panic.flac to 1. Panic.flac.jpg
Then just do this to all of them (batch renaming should take more than half an hour)
I wouldn't remove the flac part of the name, with the amount of jpegs I've got on my comp it could be confusing.

Tried adding .jpg, but didn't work. Finished uploading, and it analyzes the file and says it's not valid and removes it. So, good for pictures.
It may work for .mpg, .mp4, or .avi files, but not sure about .vob. Haven't tested it on video formats.

That flickr hack has been working for a while, but there's nothing to say in the TOS that they wouldn't remove anything that isn't a picture. I wouldn't back up anything there personally.
For $50, I really recommend 1TB of space at copy.com. If you were on the same system then we could transfer between ourselves immediately and not even use any additional space.

Now $26. I'm surprised more people aren't jumping on this.
