They played Meat is Murder which is missing. I attended this show. The whole band but wore western long bow ties and suits except Morrissey and Mike Joyce. Too many took the stage. So no encore. Thought Morrissey sound exhausted from playing the 2 dates at Universal Theatre in LA previously. Phranc open up.

Thanks for the info. Apparently, the original master for the show is a C90 cassette, which got to the end of side one during Meat Is Murder. So, a partial recording of that song does exist, but is not in general circulation.
Confirmation that there was no encore is good - I don't think we've had that before. Bigmouth Strikes Again is on the setlist as the encore.

5) Did some peak-limiting and boosted the overall volume.

DR10 -0.01 dB -10.97 dB 02 Still Ill.wav

DR11 over -12.38 dB 04 There Is A Light That Never Goes Out.wav
DR10 over -11.66 dB 05 How Soon Is Now.wav
DR12 over -13.29 dB 06 Frankly Mr Shankly.wav
DR9 over -10.68 dB 07 Panic.wav

DR10 -0.18 dB -11.29 dB 10 Is It Really So Strange.wav

Personally, I think some of these are slightly pushing into the 'too loud' territory. It would be interesting to know the DR values of your source, would you mind posting them?

Hi Robert. The original of this is a bootleg called Thank Your Lucky Stars. I don't know what the DR values will be, but you can find the bootleg on this site if you want to check it. How about a friendly bet that the DR numbers are the same or poorer?
AFAIK, digitally boosting the volume of a recording shouldn't ever affect the dynamic range, provided you don't overdo it, because its completely reversible (if you find it too loud, just turn it down). The issue is deliberately reducing the dynamic range in order to provide more space for loudness, which I didn't do.
I am surprised to see so many "over"s in the log. This will either be clipping in the original or the odd peak here and there that is literally just touching. In that case, the thing to do if you want to check my work is look at the waveforms. If you can't see the problem, it isn't there.

On average, same as yours, but there are some songs that have a greater DR than your remaster, and vice-versa :) No overs on Lucky Stars though. I wonder what caused it on yours, perhaps the peak limiting?
