Morrissey - Viva Hate world tour 2002 - 14 years late (Soundboard/Audience A+++)
Source: TV/FM/Audience
Taper: ??
Sound Quality: A+/A (Excellent/Very good)
Comment: Folks, i did this compilation to enjoy myself, and i thought to share it here too, even i'm sure most of you have these recordings already.
Looking back now, this was the last interesting Moz-tour for me, after this tour, we've heard great songs, but not great albums. And i kinda enjoy the 90's period when Moz wasn't big "superstar" yet, but of course the albums were excellent too, Vauxhall, Arsenal and Southpaw, at least good as the best Smiths album Meat is murder. Moz-Alain-Boz-Gary-Spencer, they were real band, more than The Smiths, i hate Morrissey's comments "it was always just Johnny and I" and "The Smiths was Morrissey-solo most of the times". I'm glad Joyce got his 25 prosents, being in the band means that everyone is equal and group spirit is present etc... As Moz once said, "Andy & Mike always knew they are receiving 10 prosents", well their faces and rutin playing at the smiths gigs shows it all, rhythm section surely thought they are just players, not in the band really, possible to replace them anytime. Moz & Marr wrote the songs, surely they get money of writing and composing as well as the 25 prosents, should be enough. I suppose the meaning since 2004 to release 5 different versions of every single is the way to get the money back which he had to give Joyce. In the good old 90's days, there was maxi singles, all the b-sides were in 1 cd or 1 vinyl, didn't have to buy 5 cd's to get all the b-sides. I do enjoy to watch dvd's from Arsenal, Esteban & Uncle tour, band in top form, band enjoys playing, these tours really rock. Now it seems to be only Morrissey, the current players looks like they are in pain when they play, i'm happy to see Boz still on stage, but the other lads looks like they are doing a rutin job every night.
Back to the business, this compilation has all the soundboard stuff from 2002 tour + i've added some tunes from best audience recordings from the tour.
You will find many Viva hate tunes and few b-sides from Viva hate singles. The new songs, Mexico and I like you have fabtastic live versions, much better than the studio ones. First 14 tracks are soundboard recordings. Enjoy!

I apologie my rough words earlier concerning your hero, Moz is my hero too, at least was. Anyways the smiths and morrissey, the best music ever, that matters most. I have often hobby to speak too much and i realise later i went over the line. I do know it's not our fans matter to intervene to money things, but i just hate when money comes to mess and intervene to art. And i hate greedy people.
