Hi,
I'm from Spain and I ask you to help me. (Excuse my poor English)
My sister has MS (Multiple sclerosis). She is 47 right now. She ask me to find a compilation of The Smiths bootlegs for her birthday (5 March).
I found many (nearly all) of them in this nice website but I'm still searching for 2 shows in audio.
The first one is the first show she went and the second is only available now in video. I cannot transfer the video to audio.
I want to give her a present for her birthday as a compilation bootleg.
She is a big fan of The Smiths and I know she will be very happy if I can give her the live collection you posted here.
The second show I cannot find is the "1986 Oct 21 - Nottingham, Royal Concert Hall".
So please, can somebody make a torrent for these 2 live shows (in audio) ???? Can you help me please?
"1986 Oct 21 - Nottingham, Royal Concert Hall"
"1985 May 16 - Barcelona (Spain), Studio 54"
Thank you very much for all the downloads I had from here and thank you if you read this post. If you can help me then .... Thank you a million times.
Alberto

1985-05-16 - Studio 54, Barcelona, Spain [DVD, Pro Shot, citrato1972]
This one has good quality audio, but it has a documentary in it. I can give you the DVD as an audio WAV file, but you'd need to chop out the documentary and then split the remainder into tracks.
1986-10-21 - Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham [DVD, Soundsville Steve, Master]
Not bad quality, but again, you'd have to chop the audio into tracks.
Let me know if you'd like the WAV files.
FYI, it's not too hard to extract audio from DVDs. I use MediaCoder.

Thank you!
I have the video shows but I don't know how to have the audio.
It's sad because we (my sister and I) are from Barcelona and I cannot find the Barcelona show in audio. They were (both) in megaupload but of course now they are not there.
As I wrote before the Barcelona show was the first show she ever went. Studio 54 was a nice place (usually a discotheque) and I can tell you that "Arsenal" TV program is not from the Basque TV, it was from Catalunya TV. ONLY.
I'm a bit desperate.
I also like The Smiths. Maybe because my sister was playing them all the time. Now she is in a very bad condition. She cannot even talk ok. I feel useless....
I talked with my sister yesterday (I live in GermanY) and she will upload to rapidshare some rarities so I will post them here when I receive them.
It's nice that somebody is listening to me. It's very nice. You're very kind and I thank you very much.
Best wishes from Germany and Spain!
(Excuse my poor English)

Window Media Audio Files are ok for me.
Maybe I'm a bit unkind. Maybe I can't express myself ok and I'm asking too much. I'm sorry anyway.

Okay. Here are MP3s of those two concerts. I'm afraid I haven't split them intro tracks.

Brilliant. Simply brilliant.
Thank you SO much.
You made me happy and I can give a nice present!!
I'm so shocked....
My sister told me yesterday that she has a Westwood Radio programm. Original with papers. There are 2 cds. One from The Smiths and the other from Morrissey. Both live and the sound is very good. She will take pictures of the papers and make a copy of the 2 cds.
She also want to send me some rarities.
She gave me this list:
1- Work is a four letter word (Edit)
2- Some girls are bigger than others (German edit)
3- Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others (Australian Mix With No Fade)
3- Meat is murder (Live) (Animal Liberation Version)
4- Girl Afraid (Live In Glasgow, Scotland, 2-3-1984)
5- What Difference Does It Make (Single Edit)
6- Miserable Lie (Live At The Oxford Apollo, 18-3-1985) (Rough Trade Compilation, Canada LP, 1985)
7- Shakespeare's Sister (Live At The Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles, USA, 27-6-1985)
8- What She Said (Live At The Oxford Apollo, 18-3-1985)
9- Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before (Raw)
But they are all official recordings. She doesn't know if this is interesting for you and if this is allowed in this forum. Is somebody interested in the Westwood radio show and in these 9 tracks?
Thank you very much!!!

Your sister is clearly a big Smiths fan. There are some great rarities there.
I am away from home so it's difficult for me to look up. Is Westwood a bbc recording of Oxford?
Your sister might like the unreleased studio recordings and recently-found Troy Tate album. Can someone here give links to MP3s of those?

Yesterday she told me that she also has the "Shakespear's Sister" USA 7" with 2 Phil Brown edits
1- How Soon Is Now? (Phil Brown edit)
2- The Headmaster Ritual (Phil Brown edit)
but the 7" is with a friend of her husband and she asked for it to be returned and then she (her husband because my sister hands are shaking) can transfer these 2 tracks to mp3 with the turntable. She will send me the download link for the tracks soon.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
About the Westwood show the info I received (translated by me to English, I'm sorry) is:

How Soon Is Now?
(Commercials)
The last 2 segments were recorded at the Apollo Theatre, Oxford 1985
No clear info about the first segment.
Disc 2:

THE SOUND IS PERFECT AS AN OFFICIAL RELEASE.
Can she upload these 2 Westwwod cds and the other official rarities compilation?
I don't know if this is allowed in this forum. I mean upload official recordings.

And again, she told me that the 7" of the Morrissey release of "Hold On To Your Friends" includes an edit version of one of the 2 tracks. I don't remember wich one. She can also include it with the official rarities download she want to send.
Is it interesting?

If she is recording from vinyl, then could she transfer as a WAV or FLAC rather than MP3? The sound quality is better.
I will give you links to some other rarities when I'm home on Sunday. In the mean time, look out for the Analog Loyalist remastering of Troy Tate.
