Hi there, I've just very recently got into the smiths at the tender age of 35 lol. I've been a huge indie fan for years but for some reason i completely wrote off the smiths. But after recieving the 'the sound of' for xmas, I cant get enough, They are amazing and i'm fascinated by them. I was wondering if any of you guys could recommend some goodliterature about them. Thanks in advance for any advice. 8)

Thanks for the swift reply mate, really appreciated. For such an influential band there seems to be a lack of dvd's and books. So thats a great help, Thanks mate.

Johnny Rogan's "Severed Alliance" is a good but controversial book about the band. Not sure if it's out of print.
Don't own "Songs That Saved Your Life" (yet), i believe that's about the songs more than about the band but depends on what you're after.

Or, "A Light That Never Goes Out" by Tony Fletcher.
Maybe even "Autobiography" by Moz himself!
