Brett sent me a hard disk full of Smiths gigs. This gig is here twice already, but seems like an upgrade. FM broadcast, but not great quality. I did a lossless conversion from SHN to FLAC. The Smiths
The Palladium
Los Angeles, California
June 27, 1985 Trade CDR>EAC>SHN V.3 Possibly a broadcast source(?) 1. intro
2. Meat Is Murder
3. Hand In Glove
4. Shakespeare’s Sister
5. The Headmaster Ritual
6. Nowhere Fast
7. I Want The One I Can’t Have
8. This Charming Man
9. That Joke Isn’t Funny Anymore
10. Stretch Out And Wait
11. Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now (take 1)
12. Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now (take 2)
13. What She Said
14. Still Ill
15. How Soon Is Now?
16. William It Was Really Nothing
17. Jeane
18. Rusholme Ruffians
19. Miserable Lie
20. Barbarism Begins At Home This is a highly degraded soundboard or broadcast recording.
Heaven Know's I'm Miserable Now stops because someone apparently steals a piece of the band's equipment. It is returned and the song restarted.
EAC/SHN compression by terrapinstation 06/01/2004
Thanks to Andrew W. for the source disc

Cool. Someday we'll get even closer to the master, but for now I'll take any upgrade.

Ha I haven't seen this for a while. I've found since then that this is indeed a FM broadcast, so hopefully someone can produce a cleaner copy someday. I should dig out the original maybe, and take another whack at this. My tools are much better now than I had then.

No, unfortunately. You've already produced a couple I'd forgotten about.

The story behind this recording was that it was intended for FM broadcast but was not deemed good enough quality for broadcast. I got my copy from a moz/smiths trader in california in 1993. He had the master cassette.
