Songs That Changed Your Life
All the descriptions are taken from an online review of the set.
Songs That Changed Your Life is one of the most ambitious Smiths titles to come out in years. With five audio and one video discs, it contains hours of music with material ranging from their intial recording sessions in 1983 through to their final paid public performance in December 1986. It is remarkable to think of how influential The Smiths were in a little less than five years.

Source-Songs That Changed Your Life Boot (Silver CD)
Audio disc one starts with the Troy Tate sessions. These are the very first studio songs recorded by the Smiths under the production of Troy Tate in the summer of 1983. The band were unsatisfied with the results are re-recorded their debut with producer John Porter. Double Decker use the twelve song tape that first surfaced in the early nineties as a basis for this collection of rough mixes of the tracks which also seem to run a bit too slow. The second set of Tate sessions which surfaced in the mid-nineties on “Reel Around The Fountain” and “Wonderful Woman” follow and are also in excellent quality. DD also include “Pretty Girls Make Graves” for completeness.

Yes, thanks Blackbrick. Must have taken you some time. I was considering buying it, but I don't like shelling out for bootlegs when often the source is from boards like this.
I'm downloading these now. Are any a noticeable upgrade on what we already have?

Hiya,
You are very welcome.
I'm a relative newcomer to the deeper catalogue of The Smiths so I couldn't tell you if there's any upgrades in the sources used on this set.
Cheers,
bb

As this set was put together mostly with material found on the internet, I would be surprised if any of it was an improvement on what we already have. I expect it's all either the same, or inferior.
