Thanks.
I think "Famous When Dead" recorded it but not the FWD from this site, a different one!

I second that mate, they have the whole videoed gig lying in a vault someone, Morrissey won't release it because Mike Joyce is on it haha! Secondly he probably would only release it if he was completely broke and want to make the few extra pennies!

Hello there,
Here's a bit of a trip down what's left of my memory banks....
My friend Julian was a huge Smith's fan and got to the point where he was selling great quality tshirts from the back adverts in the NME.
Some may remember mail ordering from him????
Back in Hatey Hate that is!
His influence got me into the Smiths and when he rang me and said did I want to drive to Wolvo from Oxford - how could I refuse!
Anyway, he stuffed a sony walkman pro down his codpiece and I had a mic.
I can't remember what type other than it was tube shaped and had left and right channels next to each other on top in 'D' shapes.
The gig was recorded amongst the hysteria from the right of the stage just outside of the balcony over-hang.
It was recorded on metal oxide tape.
I can be heard rambling on it.....oh dear!
I held the mic throughout as nobody was paying attention to anything where we were - it was chaos front stage.
We listened to 'it' on the return journey and Julian then made me a duplicate.
He then took it off to be pressed to vinyl. I never payed much attention to it as I had the tape.
Which went by the wayside.... much to my regret.
I'm not having a 'phantom' recollection! that all happened!
I wish Mr. Broad's estate would let those master tapes of us all entering the gig be released - why hold on to them??
Anyway, can't help much more, time and liver poisoning have taken those halcyon days from me!!
Kind regards,
FWD

It's not Tim Broad's estate who doesn't want to see this released, it's the Big Man himself.
Stephane.

It's a shame though, as most of us there would just like to see our younger selves being hurried inside by 'security'.
I don't want to see Moz being unable to sing for a short while or his 'session musicians'!
I must say Moz's diva attitude towards the past is the only thing I find unpleasant 'bout him at times.
I think Sparks got it right...."Lighten up....."!!!
Kind regards,
FWD
