Just listening to the radio as I took my son home and I happened to tune into Mike Joyce's radio programme. After a few tracks he played the live version from Jeff Buckley of "I Know It's Over". Now it's one of The Smiths heavier numbers but let me tell you, you've never heard anything so downright morbid as when Jeff Buckley does/did it. Half way through the track I was planning on buying a rope and throwing it over some beam.
After it had finished and Mike played a couple of other tunes, he said "after we had finished laying down the music, Morrissey popped in and recorded the vocals, I've never heard anything so emotional as that". He obviously has some fond memories of that time.

Both he and Andy Rourke are DJ's, Andy was on Manchester's XFM 97.7, and Mick is on Manchester's The Revolution 96.2

Ah, never knew that! Maybe I listen to it sometimes. Sounds like Joyce has some good musical taste. ;)
