Indeed, thank you very much for the great recordings you shared here so far, Steve. I bet many of us pretty much interested in your Morrissey masters as well as other low generation Smiths/Morrissey recordings you have...
Thanks again (and again)...

It's true that I don't have any more Smiths masters to share with you ... although there's still a couple of videos to come on weeks when I have the bandwidth.
I thought I'd continue on with my Morrissey masters ... no so many obviously, but recorded with better equipment.
Then, as I have quite a lot of 1st and 2nd gen recordings, I thought I might start putting those up. I've always assumed that better versions of everything but my masters must already be out there, but from some of the comments I've seen here, it would appear that many of these recordings are only available from high generation tapes. The majority of those tapes have never been transferred to digital before
What do you think?
Well I would love to continue filling the gaps. The idea of the site was to distribute as much of the canon as possible and then gradually upgrade as lower gen versions surfaced. Since you started seeding your masters that mission has become expedited but there are plenty of recordings that are available but not here. Who knows if the master still exists?
... Which is a long winded way of saying, yes, I'd love you to continue seeding the gigs which aren't listed here and upgrade anything which you have a better version of. If you need any help in doing that then you know where I am.

i had a copy of this tape from years ago ...
the one i had seems identical because the
version of the queen is dead on this tape
is from a different gig ... it doent have the
guy from the audience getting onstage and
shouting into the microphone ...
(not to imply that i am in any way less than 2000% grateful
to steve for uploading ... cheers buddy!)

I noticed that when I was dubbing on the audio to the video. I also tried dubbing on the audio from the other recording seeded here, but that has another (different) version of the QID that is not from the actual concert. That version was quite a bit shorter, but the version from this tape is almost the same length ... so you almost think you should be able to sync it, until you notice differences in the detail.
Given that both the versions seeded here seem to have the QID missing, seems to suggest that all the available audios stem from the single source, only from different generations with different QID added.

Interesting. Which recording has the correct version of QID?

neither ... they both don't fit the video audio. 'Never Had No One Ever' has a version which is miles too short, and this one almost fits but isn't quite right. The telling line for me is the 'never even knew what drugs were', where Morrissey pronounciation of 'were' at the end is always slight different. Neither version quite has the right bark of the video audio

Steve is correct. When pitch correcting the 12-12-86 last year I thought of the same thing. Its a shame because its a great version of the QID.
This version seeded seems to be from the same source as "Somebody Waved Goodbye", but without the EQ thats present on the silver bootleg.

Thanks for this upload, Steve. I'm pretty sure I downloaded it in the past, and lost it in hard drive problem, but need it. Thanks to the seeders as well.
