No, a SBD recording is direct from the Mixing Desk. A listening device goes thru the desk to a radio transmitter and then to the receiver/recording device. So, technically, you might say this is an FM-Broadcast recording!

My point was, most Assistive Listening Devices are receivers, which receive FM-broadcasts. The sound ain;t great, but "FM-Broadcast" is part of the lineage.

some people get too hung up on recordings labelled FM or Sbd. Even if those were the sources, there some skill involved to record them, so the resulting recording sounds great. And then there's all the shit that can happen after the recording ... bad mp3 encoding etc.
