I was going to follow this with Preston 1986 where the Smiths only played "The Queen Is Dead" then left because Morrissey was wounded by a drum stick thrown back on stage. It would have made a good companion to "The Longuest Day", I could have titled this "The Shortest Day".
But I'm guessing that this is one of Steve's recordings and I will wait for him to put it up, which should be in about 10 weeks.

yes ... that's one of mine.
The first US Smiths bootleg we ever got was the night before, also at the UA. I think I got it from the taper himself.
But I also picked up the second night from one of the other stall holders in Camden at the time. He said he got it direct from the taper ... so mine would be 2nd gen. But I think its the complete show ... 100m anyway.
Once I've finished with my masters, I'll start putting up some of the low gen stuff I have

Excellent thank you.
Wonder if anyone would care to remaster and join the original two recordings so that none of the quality is lost this time round.

Stephane, there are several digital noises on the 1st disc from the track "Smiths05 - Smiths05.flac" to the track "Smiths12 - Smiths12cd1.flac" (getting worse toward the end of the disc), as well as on the 2nd disc from the track "Smiths19 - Smiths19.flac" to "Smiths23 - Smiths23.flac". The last tracks of the CDs are practically unlistenable.
Would you please check if these glitches are on your CDs or just the transfer was bad?
Thanks again for sharing!

You are right, I hadn't noticed this. It's not on the original cds.
Everyone should delete their transfer and stop seeding it. I will put up a new version.
thanks,
Stephane

What's responsible for this anyway? I just re-ripped the cds and now it's fine (see new thread). What happened first time around?

It was a bad rip- the reader you used didn't do it properly, or the software didn't.
EAC is usually the recommended ripping software- it won't do this if it's configured correctly.
