Hi Steve,
after the soundcheck I just listened to the whole concert.
It's another fine piece of my The Smiths-Bootleg-Collection provided by Soundsville ...
Thanks a lot for all your fine recording. :D
By the way ... I didn't really noticed yet, that they played "Asleep" live ... how stupid is that ???
Greetings

Hi,
I am a new member here. Is anybody available to seed the Inverness gig from 1985. I have been sitting at 90.2% for a few days now. Managed to download the s/c previously but it took about a 2 weeks with pc on 24/7. It was worth the wait though. I was at the Edinburgh show on the same tour, also seen them at Coasters Edinburgh in 1984. Some other cracking shows on the torrent list. Hopefully if I can keep my share ratio up I will be able to download more.

Steve,
Any chance on telling us what happened while they were playing Asleep that night? The crowd seems just crazy in one moment, and you didn't write anything special about their behavior.
Just curious, thanks in advance. ;)

I've just been listening to this again. So nice to hear Asleep played live, if only for just one time. Shame the crowd didn't treat it with more reverence.
It's funny to think that these same four people with that same song could easily play to tens of thousands of people at Glastonbury. It would make a really nice Sunday early-evening set.

the first tour there was still today the most moving show i've ever been at or played at. this one was still very good especially when the old piano came out and they sung asleep.

Not sure if this helps or hinders but the setlist that Johnny Marr wrote out included Rusholme and How Soon Is Now after Bigmouth and before Asleep..............

I suppose it's possible that I was stopped recording after bigmouth, and started recording again for the encore. But I don't remember that (but who can trust memory), and it seems unlikely there would be no evidence of trouble on the tape, and that it would happen during a song break. Still ... the Smiths almost never deviated from the setlist.

That's one of the reasons I put all the stories up with the recordings ... before I totally forgot everything. I imagine they don't quite match what you remember. It's amazing how unreliable memories are ... even when you're convinced you remember perfectly

Unreliable is spot on, I didn't remember shopping for cassettes with Morrissey and Marr until I read it here yet I remember strange stuff like the post Royal Albert Hall show party with The Go Betweens and Everything But The Girl sitting in a corner bored out of our minds until Pete Burns approached me at the bar and asked if I bent over for money, now that was memorable!

I can confirm this. I have a tape here with a dictaphone recording of the show and it includes those two songs. It's been on my to-do list for at least 15 months now to put this up here, but my tape deck died and I need to borrow someone else's to do the job.
I guess I should have at least mentioned those two songs in the track listing on PJLM, but I see now that I never did that. I guess I'll take a short break on the collectors appendices I've been working on to catch up on this and the Troy Tate stuff that's just been put up.

Are there no more seeds for this gig. Would like to add to my collection. Can anyone help.
Also is the soundcheck included with this download?
Thanks for the help.
