I do NOT scan art. Don't ask. If you want art go buy the release, google it, or ask someone else.
I do NOT post excessive PAR2 files. If your server's retention or completion is THAT BAD, so that
you require more PAR2 than I post, you shouldn't be downloading large files anyway! Don't be rude
and expect others to "carry" you because you're too lazy or cheap to get a pay server like the rest
of us.
thanks

I saw this as well. Was considering grabbing it for the Assembly Room half, since I assume the Rockpalast can't be better than the re-broadcast that's circulating now. (Right?)

Hey David, have you finished downloading it? I downloaded it, it extracts to a one (:?) 2.7 gb mpg and the playback (using WMP) is awful. Is it for you? I had to install some codec to get it working, maybe thats it :|

Compare these three.
The AVI on these forums.

The NTSC DVD on DimeADozen (I think it was mastered from the above AVI)

The Usenet version.

In summary, although it's been recorded from tape at a high quality, the quality of the tape isn't that great. I didn't download parts three, four or five, so I don't know the quality of The South Bank Show. It plays fine, BTW.

I found the Assembly Rooms portion to be of a bit better quality than what I had, and am in the (long) process of converting that portion to DVD.
"Videography #2" is going up right now. Several TV appearances, and definitely of more interest to me.

wow! these look fantastic.
I always wondered about that re-broadcast of the Rockpalast concert. It seems to be much "darker" than the original. I don't know if this came from the encoding or transfer.
The audio isnt to great, very low bitrate. I've worked on a new version of the re-broadcast
video combined with the audio from the bootleg "girl afraid". I think it turned out perfect.
If there is anybody interested, I can upload this too.

There's another recent version of Rockpalast with foreign subtitles, which makes four.
One original DVD on Dime.
One upgrade (from VH2) which I seeded on Dime and here.
One version with foreign subs, which I think is on PureLiveBoots.
One on Usenet.
Feel free to seed your version, but you might want to check out the video in each of those first.
