What a minute - I have that CD single, and it said that "What's the World" is from an audience recording - maybe this is the source...?

it must be a different one because when Morrissey says, "this song was written by ummmmmm.......ummmmm" - on the SATH CD it sounds as if Morrissey's mic came from the soundboard. while on steve's recording it has a very different ambience sound to it when comparing to the SATH CD.

The version from the radio broadcast was used on the "I Started Something I Couldn't Finish" cassette-single. Then in 1995 when Warner/Reprise wanted to include it on the "Sweet And Tender Hooligan" cd-single, they couldn't find the original song so they lifted it from the cassette-single where it first appeared. They actually had a fan mail them the cassette single for that purpose.
