I came across a WAV file posting of the July 20, 2007 in Atlanta. It is a single file and I've used Audacity to split it into individual songs. Is either of these worth posting?

Can you check to see if the wav's are true wav's and not converted from some lossy format and could you then convert them to FLAC or SHN (preferably FLAC).
Do you have any kind of information with regards the wav, i.e. who recorded it, what equipment, what lineage, etc. etc. etc.

I looked at the subject lines in the Tech Help board but didn't see anything that pointed to how to verify that they are true wav files. What is your recommendation?

Do you have Cool Edit Pro or maybe Adobe Audition, any program that will show a spectral analysis of the wav will do the job nicely. You could try Spectrogram from h**p://www.visualizationsoftware.com/gram/gramdl.html
it has a 10 day trial software that does the job reasonably well. You are looking for tell-tale cut-off lines around the 16kHz region

Or you may share the image of the spectrum, so we can take a look at it.
Thanks, angryelvis!

whew, that was a long weekend out of town..... I've started following the rip & encode instructions on the site (how to share your CDs) and I have a boot that shows CDDA & UNKN. I would post a screen shot but I don't have a web site that I can link to. If anyone wants to see an image I can email it to you if you PM me your address.

I have that WAV file. As far as I know there is no MP3 in the lineage, I'm pretty sure this is how it was extracted from the bootlegger's recording device. However the WAV is only in 8-bit mono (unsigned). So the whole show is only about 100 megs. Stephane
