///Hand In Glove I've already given info on this show with the video. I recorded this about 20 feet from the stacks on the right hand side of the hall. This was one of the best shows the Smiths ever played. It was a real hometown gig, Salford not being 'in' Manchester, as Mark E Smith is always pointing out, to anyone who will listen. After the slight disappointment of the day before, everyone was determined to have a celebration. As soon as the band came on the whole hall was bouncing ... quite literally. It felt mildly unsafe feeling the floor flex underneath you. So it's hardly surprising that the stage collapsed half way through, requiring the band to retreat for a short time, while everything was shored up. This meant they ended up playing the rest of the show with the audience almost on top of them, with everyone except Morrissey retreating to the drum risers by the end. This only added to the excitement of the show. Luckily this was also one of my better recordings. Again this was recorded using my Sony Professional Walkman with Sony EMC-929LT Mic onto Metal tape
