Taken from BBC website: Veteran musician Sir Paul McCartney is one of three British celebrities in the running for the title of the nation's greatest living icon. The former Beatle will go up against singer Morrissey and broadcaster Sir David Attenborough in the BBC poll.
The three were ranked ahead of David Bowie, Sir Michael Caine and five other famous faces in the survey, conducted by BBC Two's Culture Show programme. The eventual winner, decided by public vote, will be announced on 16 December. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6201352.stm I was pleasantly surprised to see that Moz has made the top 3, now let's see him win it! Vote for Moz here (You have until 12:00pm GMT on Monday 11th December): http://www.bbc.co.uk/arts/livingicons/vote/ Come on Moz!!

It would very very nice to see Moz win. I was on the official forums for it on the BBC today and most people don't seem to happy to see him in the top 3 so i hope he wins just to piss them off a bit.

Yes, I'm sure the Beeb didn't want Moz to be in the final 3, I bet they probably thought he would be eliminated by now  The other 2 people have already had far enough recognition for their efforts, so it would be of far more value for Moz to win. After all, he's not going to be knighted is he

Oh dear, Morrissey came 2nd to David Attenborough in the final result :( . It doesn't surprise me as he works for the BBC and his latest documentary series Planet Earth is on at the moment. Maybe some of the Moz fans tried to vote too many times by PC and had their votes taken away :? But he did beat Paul McCartney who came 3rd so we can say he is Britain's Greatest Living Music Icon. Result here: [code:1]http://www.bbc.co.uk/arts/livingicons/vote/[/code:1]
