Hi, OK...here we go. I uploaded a DVD way back but am having problems connecting my original torrent file
to it. I have moved the torrent file from another PC. I add it to my list, set the downlod location to the same
DVD files, but when I do a force re-check it just stops at 0%. I want to help seed it again but can't find a way. The tracker reads as the regular smithstorrents tracker. Is there anything I can do....? Is there anything else you need to know...? Cheers herge65 PS I am using utorrent

If the file is the same, then pointing utorrent at the correct file should solve the problem. Are you sure the file is 100% the same? Are you pointing to the correct directory? Are you sure you're not pointing to a subdirectory or that you shouldn't be pointing to a subdirectory?

The torrent file is the same. The directory is new as I had deleted the DVD files, but the new directory contains the exact same DVD files...from the same source as originally used...if that makes sense. I'll try again this evening. I've done this before which is why I am baffled right now. Cheers

Did you copy the files back from the DVD onto your hard disk by dragging them from the DVD in Explorer? If so, the files will not be the same and that will be the reason you're stuck at 0%. When Nero (or other DVD burning software) writes the VOB files to the DVD it alters them slightly to make them play on your DVD player. If you want to get the VOBs back to the way they were before you burned them to DVD then use DVD Decrypter. I'm not completely confident, but I think that will get the VOBs back as they were.

I copied them from the original disc. But you're obviously right. They must have been altered in some way. I'll take another look. Cheers for the info

Interesting topic. I'm having simular problems seeding the Alexandra Palace DVD.
I'll try to use Decrypter and will post my results in a few.

well I just tried DVD Decrypter, and still stuck at 99.8%! I've burned the files I have and they work fine, so I'm not sure what's wrong. i'll keep working on it, hopefully a solution to this is very simple.

Do you have the info file included? I think the 98% is maybe because that is missing...?

Well, if it's 99.8% then it won't take long to finish the torrent from someone else.

The files Utorrent tells me I'm missing is... VTS_03_0.BUP
VTS_03_0.IFO
And it registers only 97.3% of VTS_03_1.VOB! I chec the BUP and IFO and they are correct in size (14k), still the rehash
omits them.
I burn this to DVD, everything works fine. So I'm not sure what the
problem is.

I checked with the original MD5 I created after this torrent was seeded. and it verfied OK.
So I reseed without the rehash, and everything now is going perfect! So I'm not sure what the problem was but it seems to be fixed now :-)
