OK, well I burnt 3 DVD9's now, all don't work and it's not my blu ray player as others DO work I got. Should be my burning software. Using Imation DIscs DL....anyone can do me a favour? Preferably European, to make me a DVD9 and ship it to me. I can pay you the expenses to your bankaccount then. Please PM me.

Hello everyone, I just burned this to double layer DVD using Nero 11 and it burned successfully. Then I popped the DVD into my player and it read, "WRONG REGION".
I read here that someone else in the US had the same error message. I can't download any free software to change the Region code as I always get a virus doing that.
Is there any way to change the region on this or my DVD player?
Is this only for PAL players? I am in the United States. I am using a cheap DVD player that usually plays anything. What can I do now to burn it to DVD successfully? Any help would be appreciated!! Thank you!!

sorry - just saw your message now - did you get this sorted out?
if not, download dvd decrypterhttp://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/DVD-Decrypter/1011845169/1 and run it through that. it will remove the region encoding and allow playback on your dvd player.
i had the same issue and this worked for me.
fyi - the files, as posted, are region 2 PAL encoding. this method will remove the region encoding (i.e. make it region 0 which is playable anywhere) but will still keep it as PAL. it sounds like your player will have no trouble with this, though.
good luck!

I assume it's the same as the one posted here though, no?

Hi rivum, Thanks for your help!!
I am afraid to download free software as I always get a virus...do you use a PC or MAC? My PC is prone to viruses even though I have top of the line security software.
Is that safe to download?
I already got a terrible virus when I d/l'ed imgburn.
Just out of curiosity, the promo disk sold on ebay says, "Disc format is NTSC and will play in regions 2,3,4,5". I thought that the USA was NTSC?
